A native Southern Californian, I have been painting & drawing my whole life.
I originally started painting in oils, but began to work with watercolors as an illustration
student at Long Beach State, where I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in 1997.

The bright and sunny quality in my paintings is inspired both by the places
that I travel to, as well as the scenery around my home in Southern California.
Traveling is an important key in gathering the stories, photos and drawings
which find their way into my watercolor paintings.

When I'm not working on graphic design projects or painting,
I usually can be found either at the beach, hiking in the hills,
or just kicking back with a sketchbook and pencil, capturing it all.
